Beanie made of burgundy lamb leather with wool lining and special detailed seams. Warms ,eigensinnig' heads in winter.
Michael Bálint was a Hungarian psychoanalyst who was particularly interested in the influence of doctors' unconscious fantasies on their patients; his main work is called "Thrills and Regressions". The hat, designed and handmade by eigensinnig wien, is a small homage to Bálint and therefore bears his name.
It is made of thick lambskin and an inner lining of warming, non-scratching wool and fits snugly and comfortingly on heads that sometimes think too much. Bálint likes women's heads just as much as men's, and is subtly conspicuous for its asymmetrical seams typical for ,eigensinnig wien'.
This leather beanie is handmade in the studio of eigensinnig wien and is unique.
eigensinnig wien: special avant-garde fashion for men and women.
For our avant-garde fashion label ‚eigensinnig wien’ we manufacture one of a kind fashion pieces for the ‚eigensinnig‘, creative, lateral thinkers and visionaries. Our collections take shape through an experimental process and and are enriched with thoughts from philosophy, art and literature or are inspired by them. This is why our trousers, jackets, blouses and dresses also bear the names of philosophers, writers and sociologists. We work with materials from nature, which we bring together to form a whole by using asymmetrical, avant-garde cuts. Our aesthetics are based on the Japanese Wabi-Sabi concept: "Pare down to the essence, but don't remove the poetry“.
