However, its peculiarity lies not only in its avant-garde design, but also in its unconventional processing: the original bucket hat with deliberately irregular brim gets its peculiar coloring namely by the artful burning of the wool.This technique is one of the extraordinary manufacturing processes of Italian hatmaker Reinhard Plank, who makes all his creations individually by hand in his atelier near Florence. His oval-cut fisherman's hat represents more than just an accessory. It is an "opera d'arte", a work of art that stands out for its uniqueness. Looking at the Contadino arouses interest in its structure and way of making and evokes a thought-provoking debate.

1903 wurde die Traditionsmanufaktur von Julianna Mühlbauer im Wiener Bezirk Floridsdorf gegründet. Sie beheimatete damals eine Hutwerkstätte samt angeschlossenem Laden. Fast 100 Jahre später wird das Familienunternehmen bereits in 4. Generation von Klaus Mühlbauer geführt.
