Slim-fitting linen dress with sophisticated details. Minimalist lightness for spring and summer
Baltasar Gracián was a philosopher and writer in 17th-century Spain. In his most important work, “The Art of Worldly Wisdom” and in line with the ideas of the Enlightenment, he called on people to think for themselves – and was banned from publishing.
The long, slim-fitting summer dress named after him and made of pure linen is similarly non-conformist. Its two low-placed pockets make it a comfortable summer companion. As an obstinate detail, it features three subtle buttons on the right side of the neckline next to the three yellow lines which can now be found on many eigensinnig creations. The asymmetrical detail seams on the back also add to the non-conformity that links the dress to its namesake.

eigensinnig wien: special avant-garde fashion for men and women.
Under our avant-garde fashion label eigensinnig wien, we manufacture unique fashion pieces for obstinate characters. We design our collections in an experimental process, enriching them with thoughts and ideas from the fields of philosophy, art and literature or drawing inspiration from philosophy, art and literature. That is why our trousers and jackets, blouses and dresses bear the names of philosophers, literary figures and sociologists. We work with materials from nature, which we like to combine in asymmetrical, avant-garde cuts. Our aesthetic is based on the Japanese wabi-sabi concept: “Pare down to the essence, but don’t remove the poetry.”
