Unique men's jacket made of light linen with hood and special details. Elegant-raw obstinacy for those with rebellious tendencies, who like to provoke subtly.
In his performances, no excess was too coarse for the artist Günter Brus. He is regarded as the most radical representative of Viennese Actionism and pulled off his enfant-terrible manner with admirable consistency.
A certain radicality of a more subtle nature is also inscribed in the linen men's jacket named after him from the company's own atelier - even if the extravagant, provocative side only reveals itself on closer inspection. At first glance, 'Brus' seems almost "adapted" with its classic revers, horn button on the front and two side pockets and inner breast pockets each. The jacket becomes unconventional through the following elements:
On the one hand, there is the hood, which gives the impression of wearing a hoodie, but in fact it is part of the jacket. On the other hand, 'Brus' has a special lining that protrudes from the sleeves with its slightly fringedtrims, thus turning something that is normally hidden inside out. Another subtle detail are the three ocher stripes on the pockets, typical for eigensinnig wien
In combination with the trousers 'Feyerabend' or the modern pleated trousers 'Meinong' made of the same material as well as the T-shirt 'Serres', 'Brus' becomes an unconventional ensemble for special occasions, which sophisticatedly underlines the individual character of the wearer. If you like it more elegant, wear the special shirt 'Gruen' with it instead of 'Serres'. On warm summer days, the combination with the short linen trousers 'Levinas' is recommended.
eigensinnig wien: special avant-garde fashion for men and women.
Under our avant-garde fashion label eigensinnig wien, we manufacture unique fashion pieces for obstinate characters. We design our collections in an experimental process, enriching them with thoughts and ideas from the fields of philosophy, art and literature or drawing inspiration from philosophy, art and literature. That is why our trousers and jackets, blouses and dresses bear the names of philosophers, literary figures and sociologists. We work with materials from nature, which we like to combine in asymmetrical, avant-garde cuts. Our aesthetic is based on the Japanese wabi-sabi concept: “Pare down to the essence, but don’t remove the poetry.”
