Light silk summer women's blouse with extra long sleeves. Pure Wabi-Sabi aesthetics for the individualist.
Simone de Beauvoir was a feminist and existentialist. With Jean-Paul Sartre she lived in an open relationship, later she was with a woman. She loved and needed freedom - our soft, white silk women's blouse bears her name and gives a similar feeling of freedom. It has no collar and hugs the body without constricting - quite the opposite: it feels airy.
What makes 'De Beauvoir' an obstinate rarity:
The small, discrete buttons that can also be found in a long placket on the cuffs
The extra-long sleeves
The asymmetrical detail seams on the back that are characteristic of eigensinnig wien
The deliberately unhemmed sections that give the blouse a Wabi-Sabi aestetic
eigensinnig wien: special avant-garde fashion for men and women.
Under our avant-garde fashion label eigensinnig wien, we manufacture unique fashion pieces for obstinate characters. We design our collections in an experimental process, enriching them with thoughts and ideas from the fields of philosophy, art and literature or drawing inspiration from philosophy, art and literature. That is why our trousers and jackets, blouses and dresses bear the names of philosophers, literary figures and sociologists. We work with materials from nature, which we like to combine in asymmetrical, avant-garde cuts. Our aesthetic is based on the Japanese wabi-sabi concept: “Pare down to the essence, but don’t remove the poetry.”
