Oversized shirt jacket with patch pockets for men and women in black. A unique creation for freedom-loving individualists.
For the American writer and philosopher, Henry David Thoreau, the free life, the unconstrained, was one of the main components of his life. The individual and its development are at the center of being. This thought is reflected not only in the actions, but also finds expression in the choice of appropriate clothing.
The black unisex shirt jacket from our own atelier allows a lot of freedom of movement for both body and mind thanks to its casual cut and a special pleat on the back. Made of light wool or cotton, the unique piece has a shirt collar and a semi-concealed button placket with seven metal buttons and can be worn both mentally and physically during a leisurely walk through the autumnal forest. Ochre decorative stitching, contrasting against the black fabric, is reminiscent of thick roots of ancient trees digging through the moss-covered forest floor. Memories of Thoreau's 1854 work "Walden - Life in the Woods" come to mind, in which he describes his life in nature, the experience of solitude and the intensity of existence.
These experiences of freedom and inner depth are also evident in the obstinate, casual model with open hem and patch pockets that offer enough space for small utensils. The front of this unconventional creation is slightly shorter than the back, and the long sleeves have an asymmetrical finish. The high wearing comfort of this particular shirt jacket reflects Thoreau's love of freedom and individuality in an obstinate way and is a faithful companion for fall and winter.
