Unconventional sarouel trousers for men and women with low crotch made of linen and wool in anthracite. A comfortable companion with asymmetrical details for autumn and winter.
Bertrand Russell stands for a sincere desire for knowledge and rationality like hardly any other thinker of the 20th century. His admirably light way of looking at the heavy things in the world inspired us to create the first sketch for the linen trousers named after him in soft anthracite. The almost floating fabric with subtle pattern and deep crotch hugs the calves from the knee down, giving the leg the greatest possible freedom at the top.
"Don't feel absolutely certain about anything," is the most important principle for Russell. Instead of swimming against the tide, obstinate people of any gender unfold according to their free ideas in the harem trousers made of natural materials, which is also expressed by the slightly asymmetrical cut. Every detail of the unobtrusively designed unique piece is a declaration of love to rational thinking, to reasoning and the search for truth; to all that beauty which Russell elevated to the ideal:
Natural linen and wool sarouel trousers with forward side seams harmoniously conform to the shape of the body
Eyelets and cord ends at the waistband are made of brass, the surface of which is broken by a light greenish patina
In the spirit of the model Russell, the hem of the autumn harem pants is free and open. The two patch pockets also have open edges to soften clenched fists in an inviting way in winter
Only natural materials such as linen and wool were used to create the light avant-garde pants. Three ocher-colored bars at the side seam serve as a colorful eye-catcher and distinguish the obstinate unique piece.
In combination with the oversized shirt jacket 'Thoreau' or the avant-garde coat 'Comte', both made of the same material, a special ensemble for fall and winter is created.

eigensinnig wien: special avant-garde fashion for men and women.
Under our avant-garde fashion label eigensinnig wien, we manufacture unique fashion pieces for obstinate characters. We design our collections in an experimental process, enriching them with thoughts and ideas from the fields of philosophy, art and literature or drawing inspiration from philosophy, art and literature. That is why our trousers and jackets, blouses and dresses bear the names of philosophers, literary figures and sociologists. We work with materials from nature, which we like to combine in asymmetrical, avant-garde cuts. Our aesthetic is based on the Japanese wabi-sabi concept: “Pare down to the essence, but don’t remove the poetry.”
