Soft, warming hooded scarf for cold days and nights with unconventional details. A subtle obstinate winter for the unconventional.

Charismatic visionary and polymath, poet and composer, saint and mystic: Hildegard von Bingen was one of the most important women of the Middle Ages. Her holistic health teachings, which revolve around herbs and medicinal plants, are still valid today - over 1000 years later.

Our hybrid hood and scarf pays homage to this unique woman. It is handmade from a soft, warming alpaca and virgin wool blend and protects against wind and weather. By means of a cord, the hood can be closed tightly. Walks through the city or the forest therefore become a little adventure even in autumn and winter, during which the neck remains nice and warm thanks to the integrated scarf. A obstinate detail is the jagged finish on the front and back. The hooded scarf can be worn over sweaters, blouses or shirts.

Combine 'Bingen' with the pullovers 'Tolstoi', 'Bacon' or 'Rosa' and create together with the fingerless gloves 'Spencer' and the warming socks 'Mesmer' an obstinate composition for cold days in autumn and winter.

Under our avant-garde fashion label eigensinnig wien, we manufacture unique fashion pieces for obstinate characters. We design our collections in an experimental process, enriching them with thoughts and ideas from the fields of philosophy, art and literature or drawing inspiration from philosophy, art and literature. That is why our trousers and jackets, blouses and dresses bear the names of philosophers, literary figures and sociologists. We work with materials from nature, which we like to combine in asymmetrical, avant-garde cuts. Our aesthetic is based on the Japanese wabi-sabi concept: “Pare down to the essence, but don’t remove the poetry.”
