The American economist and sociologist Thorstein Veblen (1857-1929) became famous with his "Theory of the Fine People" - the Veblen Effect is named after him, which also called the Snob Effect and describes the paradoxical phenomenon of increasing demand with rising prices observed in the "fine social classes". Our classic men's trousers in black, named after the economist, have a different subtlety: 'Veblen' looks elegant and unconventional at the same time due to the narrow leg and the unusual detail seam on the back side. The thin material made of viscose and linen feels soft on the leg, but at the same time fits as loosely as the sophisticated cut allows. The trousers can be rolled up and fit a wide variety of tops. A unique fashion statement for men.

We design our collections in an experimental process, enriching them with thoughts and ideas from the fields of philosophy, art and literature or drawing inspiration from philosophy, art and literature. That is why our trousers and jackets, blouses and dresses bear the names of philosophers, literary figures and sociologists. We work with materials from nature, which we like to combine in asymmetrical, avant-garde cuts. Our aesthetic is based on the Japanese wabi-sabi concept: “Pare down to the essence, but don’t remove the poetry.”
