Women's trousers with low crotch made of 100% soft cotton. An elegant-raw, obstinate reinterpretation of the pleated trousers.
The life of the philosopher Leontion in ancient Greece has only been vaguely recorded due to poor tradition. What is known is that she was clever, educated and beautiful and intellectually took on powerful men like Cicero or Theophrastus - which was extremely courageous and more than unusual at the time. What one suspects of her: a love affair with the philosopher Epicurus, whose teachings she always defended before others.
These women's trousers with a deep crotch and ample legroom from our in-house atelier are dedicated to this courageous philosopher. They are handmade in our atelier from 100% organic cotton and deliberately irregular in color. This is an unconventional fabric that is pleasantly soft.
The women's trousers are full of obstinate details:
The inverted pleats: They go inwards and not outwards.
the wide waistband: it can also be worn with wide belts.
the concealed button placket with the discreet, natural-looking black coconut buttons
the ochre-yellow seam edgings inside the trousers, which become visible when you roll up the trouser legs
the asymmetrical detail seams on the trouser legs
the two side pockets with the detail of the three lines
'Leontion' goes perfectly with the gilet 'Heller', which is made of the same fabric and makes an avant-garde ensemble in combination with the light trousers.
'Leontion' is also available in other colors and fabrics.

eigensinnig wien: Special avant-garde fashion for men and women.
Under our avant-garde fashion label eigensinnig wien, we manufacture unique fashion pieces for obstinate characters. We design our collections in an experimental process, enriching them with thoughts and ideas from the fields of philosophy, art and literature or drawing inspiration from philosophy, art and literature. That is why our trousers and jackets, blouses and dresses bear the names of philosophers, literary figures and sociologists. We work with materials from nature, which we like to combine in asymmetrical, avant-garde cuts. Our aesthetic is based on the Japanese wabi-sabi concept: “Pare down to the essence, but don’t remove the poetry.”
