Avant-garde oversize coat made of light cotton, which can be worn by all genders. Obstinate companion for spring and summer.
"For being and non-being generate each other. Heavy and light complete each other. Long and short shape each other. Voice and sound marry each other. The fact that life is a sequence of transitions and unites contradictions has hardly been said in a clearer language than the Chinese philosopher and founder of Taoism Laozi (or Lao Tzu).
Contradictions are also combined in the oversize coat from our own atelier, which we have dedicated to the wise master. The light cotton fabric with its fine structure seems weightless, the wearing feeling is therefore very pleasant and soft. Even the horn buttons have a smooth surface that is a pleasure to touch. Two deep pockets in front offer space for larger small items such as a book or tablet.
In addition, we have added some details to the extraordinary unique piece, which can be worn by all genders, giving it a subtly extravagant touch:
the flowing revers, which can be closed with a button, but can also be worn open. the frayed seams, reminiscent of the Wabi-sabi aesthetic, where true beauty is located in imperfection. the eye-catching, slightly frayed stitching that starts in the center front and continues on the back, losing height along the way and finding its endpoint on the front. the wavy finish - a metaphor for the ups and downs of life. the three ocher stripes on the sleeves, a characteristic of obstinacy.
Combined with the trousers 'Levinas' made of the same material, the result is an extremely extravagant ensemble that highly emphasizes the obstinate character of the wearer. If you like it a little more subtle and grounded, offset the composition with the light and simple summer T-shirt 'Behn'.
eigensinnig wien: special avant-garde fashion for men and women.
Under our avant-garde fashion label eigensinnig wien, we manufacture unique fashion pieces for obstinate characters. We design our collections in an experimental process, enriching them with thoughts and ideas from the fields of philosophy, art and literature or drawing inspiration from philosophy, art and literature. That is why our trousers and jackets, blouses and dresses bear the names of philosophers, literary figures and sociologists. We work with materials from nature, which we like to combine in asymmetrical, avant-garde cuts. Our aesthetic is based on the Japanese wabi-sabi concept: “Pare down to the essence, but don’t remove the poetry.”
