Asymmetrically cut avant-garde wool coat with hood and quite a bit of obstinacy. A unique piece with character.

Auguste Comte, the French philosopher, is the founder of positivism and sociology. He declared war on superstition; he wanted everything to be scientific, empirical and comprehensible. He himself was considered rebellious.

There's a bit of rebellion in our avant-garde 'Comte' coat named after him. The asymmetrically cut coat with the hood is a showcase of obstinacy, but also has something accurate-scientific about it. A handmade rarity for the unadjusted - because it's also suitable for women.

Its details make it something very special:

the discreet button closure
the unexpected hood
the diagonal back seam and the side slit at the back, which reminds of a parka.
'Comte' can be combined with the unconventional trousers 'Feyerabend', 'Gropius' and 'Montesquieu', which are made of the same fabric.

Under our avant-garde fashion label eigensinnig wien, we manufacture unique fashion pieces for obstinate characters. We design our collections in an experimental process, enriching them with thoughts and ideas from the fields of philosophy, art and literature or drawing inspiration from philosophy, art and literature. That is why our trousers and jackets, blouses and dresses bear the names of philosophers, literary figures and sociologists. We work with materials from nature, which we like to combine in asymmetrical, avant-garde cuts. Our aesthetic is based on the Japanese wabi-sabi concept: “Pare down to the essence, but don’t remove the poetry.”
