Marie von Ebner-Eschenbach was one of the most important storytellers of the 19th century. "Nothing makes us more cowardly and unscrupulous than the desire to be loved by all people," she once said, and she is probably right: you can't please everyone, and you shouldn't either. Long live ,Eigensinn'!

This is also evident in the women's trousers named after her. They are straight cut, with a narrow leg made of light fabric. The fabric is dyed by hand in our atelier and its individual coloring gives it a deliberately abstract look. This and the asymmetrical detail seams typical for eigensinnig wien make 'Eschenbach' a real unique piece.

If you are looking for a special business suit for women, we recommend the women's blazer 'Sokrates' in the same material and colour as 'Eschenbach'.

We design our collections in an experimental process, enriching them with thoughts and ideas from the fields of philosophy, art and literature or drawing inspiration from philosophy, art and literature. That is why our trousers and jackets, blouses and dresses bear the names of philosophers, literary figures and sociologists. We work with materials from nature, which we like to combine in asymmetrical, avant-garde cuts. Our aesthetic is based on the Japanese wabi-sabi concept: “Pare down to the essence, but don’t remove the poetry.”
