Neandertal | Eau de Parfum 'Them' 30 ml Avantgarde Black Fashion wabisabi - eigensinnig wien Neandertal | Eau de Parfum 'Them' 30 ml Avantgarde Black Fashion wabisabi - eigensinnig wien
Sold Out
Genderless, unconventional Eau De Parfum 'Them' by Neandertal mastermind Kentaro Yamada that stands for optimism and progress in times of uncertainty. 'them' is the olfactory counterpart to 'us', the latest Neandertal creation from London: on the one hand there is us ('us'), and on the other them ('them'). How we live with others in proximity and distance, how we define our identity in relation to others, and what lies ahead for the next generation in this respect are questions inscribed in both fragrances. Despite - or because of? - Despite - or because of? all the challenges of our time, 'them' is progressive and optimistic. It is an experimental, conceptual and unconventional fragrance that works with futuristic, clear molecules that meet transparent woods as well as fresh, floral nuances - in a handmade, transparent glass bottle unique. An olfactory solace for times like these.Notes: Grapefruit, lavender, carrot seed, seaweed, iris; neroli, hinoki, magnolia; sandalwood, musk, amber et altri. Brand: NeandertalQuantity: 30ml eigensinnig wien presents: Neandertal from London There's not much left of the goldsmith roots of Kentaro Yamada, the fragrance designer behind Neandertal, in his olfactory compositions: the artist's flacons, which we discovered in a hidden green courtyard in the middle of the Marais in Paris thanks to a tip from our designer friend Daniel Andresen, look like small slate rocks. Kentaro is interested in "primordial creativity" - the kind of creativity that was essential for survival in primeval times, "a kind of creativity we cannot escape," as he puts it.

Genderless, spicy and unique Eau De Parfum by Neandertal mastermind Kentaro Yamada: each rock-like bottle is unique to the artist. 'Dark' is an aromatic-spicy, intense fragrance for both men and women. It is a tribute to the existential primordial creativity in which the artist is particularly interested. To emphasize the stubbornness and otherness of the eau de parfum, Kentaro Yamada has created black rock flacons for it, all of which are unique pieces. The olfactory counterpart to 'Dark' is the metallic-woody 'Light' in a white rock bottle - and then there is 'Us', the third Neandertal fragrance, which conceptually combines the first two.Notes: Green foliage, pepper, citrus, leather, amber, incense resin, oud. Light silk summer women's blouse with extra long sleeves. Pure Wabi-Sabi aesthetics for the individualist.Simone de Beauvoir was a feminist and existentialist. With Jean-Paul Sartre she lived in an open relationship, later she was with a woman. She loved and needed freedom - our soft, white silk women's blouse bears her name and gives a similar feeling of freedom. It has no collar and hugs the body without constricting - quite the opposite: it feels airy. What makes 'De Beauvoir' an obstinate rarity:The small, discrete buttons that can also be found in a long placket on the cuffsThe extra-long sleevesThe asymmetrical detail seams on the back that are characteristic of eigensinnig wienThe deliberately unhemmed sections that give the blouse a Wabi-Sabi aesteticYou can also find 'De Beauvoir' in different colors and materials. Designer: eigensinnig wienColor: whiteComposition: 100% silkeigensinnig wien: special avant-garde fashion for men and women.Under our avant-garde fashion label eigensinnig wien, we manufacture unique fashion pieces for obstinate characters. Slim-fitting linen dress with sophisticated details. Minimalist lightness for spring and summerBaltasar Gracián was a philosopher and writer in 17th-century Spain. In his most important work, “The Art of Worldly Wisdom” and in line with the ideas of the Enlightenment, he called on people to think for themselves – and was banned from publishing. The long, slim-fitting summer dress named after him and made of pure linen is similarly non-conformist. Its two low-placed pockets make it a comfortable summer companion. As an obstinate detail, it features three subtle buttons on the right side of the neckline next to the three yellow lines which can now be found on many eigensinnig creations. The asymmetrical detail seams on the back also add to the non-conformity that links the dress to its namesake.Brand: eigensinnig wienMaterial: 100% linenColor: black  eigensinnig wien: special avant-garde fashion for men and women. Light linen men's shirt with small collar in black. Special, contradictory and detailed for autumn and winter. 'Gruen' is intended as a tribute to the German-Swiss writer and psychologist Arno Gruen, whose works deal with autonomy, the development of the self, and the contradictions that arise as a result. These contradictions are also evident in the men's shirt named after him. The classic, slim cut is contrasted by the organic structure of the coarse linen. The asymmetrical and open seams on the sleeves, as well as special cuffs with horn buttons convey the playful rigor known for obstinacy. The high-quality linen conveys a lightness for autumn and winter and feels pleasantly on the skin. ‚Gruen' you will also find in linen in other colors and fabrics. Loosely cut men's jacket made of a fine linen with inside pockets and signature seams.Inspired by the works of Le Corbusier, one of the greatest architects of the 20th century, the men's jacket is named after him. The Swiss-French architect was a representative of Modernism and as such an advocate of principles such as "Less is more" and "Form follows function". This orientation links him to our avant-garde men's jacket in anthracite, which is designed to be reduced to the essentials and yet - due to the way it is cut - ,Eigensinn' and subtly accentuates the character of the wearer. Slim-fitting, light jacket with ,eigensinnig' zips and high collar. Handmade from Belgian coarse linen in blue. Émile Zola was a French writer, painter and journalist. He founded Naturalism - the literary movement that required a close observation of society and nature in order to present current issues as accurately as possible. The jacket 'Zola' by ,eigensinnig wien' is also inspired by nature: the blue fabric made of 100% linen feels light and wild and has those small knots that are characteristic of linen and give it structure. The following details make 'Zola' ,eigensinnig': an unusual combination of robust zip fasteners: On the front, on the cuffs and unconventionally diagonally on the backa high stand-up collar which rests flat when the jacket is worn open2 large pockets for Smartphone, wallet & Co.the asymmetrical detailed seams on the back, which are characteristic of ,eigensinnig wien' Designer: eigensinnig wien Color: blue Material: 100% linen eigensinnig wien: special avant-garde fashion for men and women. Men's pullover for autumn and winter that makes deconstruction visible and resolves contradictions of round and square, soft and "raw" in an obstinate way. The French philosopher Jacques Derrida founded the method of deconstruction, in which texts are critically scrutinised and disassembled in order to arrive at their essence (which may well be contradictory!), in the 1960s. An experimental approach of disassembling and reassembling is also the method we like to use in our own collections. Contradictions often dissolve into harmony. This is also the case with the 'Derrida' jumper: the asymmetrical seams and frayed, open hems make deconstruction visible. The light viscose-wool blend looks organic, reminiscent of stones and barren landscapes. The collar is special with its 90-degree angle, which brings round and square together in an idiosyncratic way. As with most of the new in-house creations, 'Derrida' also has the three stripes in ochre at the sleeve ends. All this makes the men's jumper an unconventional creation with a lot of thought and questions.Brand: eigensinnig wienMaterial: 43% viscose, 39% wool, 17% polyamide, 1% spandexColor: darkgrey eigensinnig wien: Special avant-garde fashion for men and women.Under our avant-garde fashion label eigensinnig wien, we manufacture unique fashion pieces for obstinate characters. Minimalist, slim men's trousers in 100% ramie linen with special details. Obstinacy that can be combined in a variety of ways. The German architect Walter Gropius founded the Bauhaus, the famous art school that brought together art and craft and is considered a home for the avant-garde of classical modernism. To this day, the Bauhaus is influential for modernist currents. The men's trousers named after the architect from the in-house atelier are just as modernist: they are slim-fitting and minimalist in design. Special details such as the horn buttons, the piped pocket, the three ochre stripes on the side pockets and the wave-like cut on the back waistband - an allusion to Heraclitus and "Everything flows" - provide the typical obstinacy. The high-quality material is made of 100% organic-looking ramie linen. Two pockets at the front and another at the back offer space for things you like to carry with you. All this makes 'Gropius' a subtly individualistic creation for all those who appreciate understatement.Combined with the 'Mises' men's jacket, the 'Fichte' men's jacket or the 'Eribon' coat, the men's trousers become an autumnal ensemble. Somewhat more unconventional models in the same fabric are the 'Kafka', 'Meinong' or 'Epikur' trousers.Brand: eigensinnig wienMaterial: 100% ramie linenColor: anthracite eigensinnig wien: special avant-garde fashion for men and women.Under our avant-garde fashion label eigensinnig wien, we manufacture unique fashion pieces for obstinate characters. Classic men's trousers with slim leg and special detail stitching. A timelessly elegant model made of a special fabric with metallic fibers by Faliero Sarti. The U.S. economist and sociologist Thorstein Veblen (1857-1929) became famous with his "Theory of Fine People" - the Veblen Effect, also known as the Snob Effect, is named after him, describing the paradoxical phenomenon of rising demand with rising prices observed in the "fine social classes".Our classic men's trousers in sand, named after the economist, are a different kind of fine: 'Veblen' looks elegant and unconventional at the same time thanks to the narrow leg and the unusual detailed seam at the bottom. The trousers can be rolled up and go with a wide variety of tops. An idiosyncratic fashion piece for men that shows character not least because of the fabric: it comes from the Italian fabric manufacturer Faliero Sarti and is a unique mix of cotton, ramie and metallic fibers. Men's low crotch trousers in linen-like lightweight ramie. An elegant-raw, obstinate reinterpretation of the pleated trousers. These trousers are dedicated to the Greek philosopher Epikur. Epikur, who throughout his life was devoted to physics, logic and ethics, always aimed to increase the joy of life through the enjoyment of each day and moment. This joie de vivre is also to be conveyed by the men's trousers with the deep crotch and the large legroom from the in-house atelier. They are handmade from ramie, also called grass linen. This is a linen-like fabric made from the stalk of ramie, a bast fiber. Characteristic of this fabric is the subtle, silky sheen - and a great lightness. These men's trousers are full of quirky details:The inverted pleats: They go inward, not outward.the concealed button placket with the discreet, natural horn buttonsthe ocher yellow seam edgings inside the trousers, which become visible when you roll up the trouser legsthe asymmetrical detail seams on the trouser legsthe two side pockets with the detail of the three linesIf man wants it a little more classic, "Epikur" with the men's jacket "Fichte" and the gilet "Merleau-Ponty" becomes an autumnal avant-garde three-piece. Loose-fitting blouse with special details. Lightness with an organic look and raw elegance for spring and summer.Diotima is a character in one of Plato’s dialogues, in which the members of a party discuss Eros (i.e. love). This high priestess’s ideas in the dialogue are the origin of the concept of Platonic love. She is a seer, she is sage, and she is the only female character in Plato’s dialogues. To this wise woman, who will not let herself be guided by lust, we dedicate this blouse made of light, black bamboo. It is loose-fitting, but not oversized – something in between. In the back it is slightly longer than in the front. The pleat at the back provides a feeling of freedom. An obstinate detail, the embroidery on the front is reminiscent of branches and provides our obstinate blouse, whose double-stitched collar is hinted at rather than pronounced, with a wabi-sabi aesthetic. Other details contributing to this look are the asymmetrical sleeve vent with open seams and the subtle black horn buttons.
