Johann Gottlieb Fichte was a German philosopher and is considered one of the most important representatives of German idealism. A central core of his philosophy was the concept of the "Absolute Ego".

The light cotton men's jacket in black, named after Fichte, is also about the individual. It is hand-dyed in our atelier and features a deliberate irregularity in its coloring. Reduced to the essentials and yet, by the way radiating obstinacy and thereby the character of the wearer subtly comes to the fore. A rarity for everyday life and special occasions at the same time.

The grey avant-garde men's jacket 'Fichte' has:

the asymmetrical seams typical of eigensinnig wien

two large inside pockets for smartphone, wallet & Co.

a discreet, unobtrusive collar with small lapels

sharp, cut-off edges at the lower part

'Fichte' becomes a fancy suit in combination with the pleated trousers 'Epikur'. Together with the men's gilet 'Merleau-Ponty' it can be worn as an avant-garde three-piece.

'Fichte' is also available in other colors and fabrics.

Under our avant-garde fashion label eigensinnig wien, we manufacture unique fashion pieces for obstinate characters. We design our collections in an experimental process, enriching them with thoughts and ideas from the fields of philosophy, art and literature or drawing inspiration from philosophy, art and literature. That is why our trousers and jackets, blouses and dresses bear the names of philosophers, literary figures and sociologists. We work with materials from nature, which we like to combine in asymmetrical, avant-garde cuts. Our aesthetic is based on the Japanese wabi-sabi concept: “Pare down to the essence, but don’t remove the poetry.”
