The small shoulder bag by Tagliovivo is an obstinate companion that has room for the most important things. It can be hung comfortably around the body thanks to the strap. An idiosyncratic detail is the small, wrought-iron metal clasp that gives the 'Sofietto Bag' made of black, hand-dyed Culatta horse leather a wabi-sabi, mystical aesthetic - as if it came from other times and worlds. As mystical and mysterious as this may make it seem, it is neat and clear on the inside, where hands feel high-quality linen lining as they search for things and a separate zipped compartment keeps things tidy.

Designer Giordano Lapegna's unique leather bags are a tribute to nature: the leather from which his hands craft the extremely exquisite bags is natural and correspondingly imperfect - with a rough surface marked by the weather. Only vegetable-tanned leather is used for Tagliovivo products - the brand also makes special, individual belts - which is always a byproduct of meat production and thus has a very small ecological footprint. Each piece is different, just like their wearers. Each piece changes over the years - and gets even more personality
