Straight cut pullover in soft cotton with asymmetric detail seams. A handmade, soft obstinacy for autumn and winter.

Cass Sunstein, a US professor of law at Harvard University, is one of the best-known lawyers in the country. Together with the behavioural economist Richard Thaler, he established the concept of nudging ("nudging, prodding"), in which incentives are set to steer people's behaviour in society in a certain, productive and positive direction.

We have dedicated the pullover of the same name from our in-house collection to him: a creation that is characterised by the highest asymmetry at the seams and sleeve ends and yet - or precisely because of this? - it creates a coherent overall picture. A particularly idiosyncratic detail is the double-stitched collar. The grey cotton from which 'Sunstein' is made is deliberately slightly crumpled and irregular. It is reminiscent of stones and barren landscapes and seems almost organic. The detail of the three stripes in ochre, which adorn most of the new in-house creations, can also be found on the sleeves of 'Sunstein'. The men's pullover is also available in a slightly warmer version made entirely of wool.

Under our avant-garde fashion label eigensinnig wien, we manufacture unique fashion pieces for obstinate characters. We design our collections in an experimental process, enriching them with thoughts and ideas from the fields of philosophy, art and literature or drawing inspiration from philosophy, art and literature. That is why our trousers and jackets, blouses and dresses bear the names of philosophers, literary figures and sociologists. We work with materials from nature, which we like to combine in asymmetrical, avant-garde cuts. Our aesthetic is based on the Japanese wabi-sabi concept: “Pare down to the essence, but don’t remove the poetry.”
